Manhattan Bagel Company, the Northeast’s premier destination for fresh-baked New York-style bagels since 1987, proudly held its 15th annual Veterans Day promotion on November 11, 2019, offering a free bagel and cream cheese to all veterans as a small gesture to thank them for their service. MBC turned to Turchette to help spread the word.
The Turchette Public Relations team implemented a strategic, geo-targeted media relations initiative designed to raise awareness among its consumer markets about the complimentary “bagel and schmear” distributed at its 63 stores throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, California and Florida.

Our media relations program landed the Manhattan Bagel promotion in major national and target regional print, broadcast and online outlets, potentially reaching an audience of nearly 100 million people across the board. Highlights included Thrillist, USA Today, Lifehacker, Parade, and iHeartRadio.com, to mention just a few. That’s a lot of free bagels!
